Ohhhh yea I hear ya. Myself? Busier than ever tbh.
As mentioned in the previous correspondence I was in talks with a previous employer to obtain a job to obtain some money. I started said job last Monday and am enjoying it quite well. I do wake up at 6am and work for 8 hours but I enjoy the work and am compensated fairly for my work.
I call it a win.
Also I have the day off because its raining :)
Board games and children's books? Nah that's a thing of the past. I plan on using this site strictly for blogging now.
LOL jkjk
I still plan to make online PDF's purchasable through this site and to create a fan base through social media platforms. I'll detail each project a bit more in depth as well.
Gazbee's Game - Something I look at the way a parent looks at child. I've had this game in my life since the Summer of '21 and has been in and out of my mind ever since. Something to constantly improve and to build upon. Looking back at the original playing of it, it was hardly a game and more like a set of rules that tells you how to do a process.
Now however, I thoroughly believe it to be a cutting edge project. Or on the cusp of it...
Moving forward with Gazbee's Game, I hope to make it an educational resource to some extent. No, it doesn't HAVE to be, but I think the way it is would make it a valuable resource to many.
I hope to create a game that emulates the stock market as we know it. Numerous different investment options: long term, short term, high yield, consistency, junk, randomness and even gambling. By creating so many different options with truly different outcomes, GG can become something that provides player agency in a way it never has.
The biggest difficulty being fun-ness. Who actually enjoys investing in the stock market? waiting for your investments to return. Making informed and calculated decisions. Bleh.
All that said, I think the potential is through the roof and I will find great success with this project :)

Pop the Penguin - Pop is currently being worked on in my evening hours after work. I have the time and energy to draw a page or two and so, I do.
I don't think I need to finish drawing the book in order to start to pitch it to publishers or to begin the process of putting out into the internet.
However, at the moment I'm okay just building on it in small ways. Showing up and working on the drawings even when I'm tired is honestly a huge victory.
I'll add a recent picture of it :)
I love Pop the Penguin in a similar way that I love Gazbee's Game. Both have simply come to me. I didn't really search for them or research what the world needed, I just had the idea of making a children's book about a purple penguin.
When I think about it, I've always wanted to make a something about a purple penguin. Very based off of Pablo from Backyardigans and Tacky the Penguin.
I love you young Mark, I hope the book turns out how you hoped.
Thank you for reading and I hope you have a day void of despair.
